What is waiting for you on your 1st day with us?
The HR team will be your first point of contact on your first day. They will walk you through the basics, such as how to get your ID badge for the premises and share the company policies. Afterward, they will provide access to your equipment, including your computer, keyboard, mouse and any other necessary resources.
Following that, you will have a meeting with the HR team to provide the first impression of the company culture and a warm welcome session. During this meeting, they’ll cover vital information, such as employee benefits, HR policies and procedures, leave entitlements and directories, and the company’s expectations regarding your conduct at work.
Next, you’ll get an office tour, which will help you get familiar with the company’s setup, protocols, and departments. This tour will help you to know where everything is located, such as the kitchen, restrooms, and print stations.
Afterward, you’ll have the platform exploration phase, during which you’ll discover the different systems and tools that EGSers use. It includes the Base Onboard, which serves as the company’s HR platform, and Microsoft 365, an excellent collaboration tool. They’ll show you the different processes involved in submitting leave requests, attendance records and accessing employee self-service options.
Besides, there will be an onboarding course on Moodle for you to use at your pace and convenience, where you will have the ability to learn more about the company culture, vision, mission, and business objectives. You’ll also undergo training and knowledge development courses about the company’s policies, core values, vision, mission and a bit of history.
On your first day, you will be personally welcomed by our team. You’ll be given a package of gifts, which includes a personalized card, a tote bag, a pen and a notebook. These gifts aren’t just a gesture, they’re a reflection of our values. We want you to feel special and valued from day one!
