IMDA, EnterpriseSG, Singtel Launch SME Cybersecurity Programme

Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) have partnered with Singtel to launch the Singtel Cyber Protect Programme, a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening cybersecurity readiness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The two-year programme will provide up to 49,000 SMEs with complimentary access to key cybersecurity tools and training resources.

Participating SMEs will receive 12 months of free Mobile Protect and Broadband Security, two AI-driven solutions offering network-level protection against online threats. Mobile Protect safeguards up to five mobile lines per business by filtering malicious URLs and blocking phishing attempts. While Broadband Security provides built-in network protection for connected devices and IoT systems.

The initiative also includes cyber risk workshops and educational toolkits, designed to improve SMEs’ awareness and response to digital threats. Each participating business will gain access to curated materials and a three-hour cybersecurity workshop worth $400, focusing on practical skills to detect, respond to, and recover from attacks.

Key features of the initiative:

  • Free 12-month cybersecurity coverage for mobile and broadband users.
  • AI-powered protection against phishing, malware, and network intrusions.
  • Educational workshops and toolkits to enhance cyber risk literacy.
  • 50% renewal discount in the second year, offered by Singtel.

The programme underscores Singapore’s broader push to help SMEs: often the most vulnerable to cyberattacks. Adopting affordable, practical defenses as part of their digital transformation journey.
